About Us
Background
The Ritual of Life, or TROL for short, was created in 1996 with one village and only one sort of character – a Human Warrior. Since then, after many years of being a ‘shelved project’, various friends asked me to revive TROL, and do it up in such a way where there is a lot more variety, a much better storyline, and a lot more fun and excitement.
We are now gearing up to be the biggest off-line (but ongoing) Role Playing Game in Perth, W.A. (Australia), and with big plans to make it something even more – a computer game, or possibly, an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game).

Initial Release of TROL Version 1 in 1996

In 2000, Steve Wilding (TROL’s creator) won a Council Award and received a glowing reference from Ms. Jessica Seaford (the School Librarian at the time) for producing an ongoing game which kept between 12 and 24 people (aged 13-17) engaged every lunchtime at the school library.
Future Developments
In 2010, The Ritual of Life has begun holding its off-line play testing sessions every second Sunday at the Casurina Wellard Community Hall. To be a part of the action, please JOIN NOW.
